This painting is of a recollection of a marsh exploration I had in early spring. On a February day, I went looking for signs of life in the wetlands after the snow left, I could explore the depths of the area because I could "walk on water" where it was frozen! Parting the curtain of reeds, I was given a glimpse into the world of the waiting marsh. The colors were a brilliant display of welcome for the ducks and geese and other waterfowl that were yet to arrive. In the stillness, I soaked in the scenery, serenaded by the winter songbirds, but silent of the toads and birds yet to arrive.

This original painting is acrylic on cradled board. The cradle is 2", and is hand painted black to give the piece a contemporary look. It is sold unframed, and framing is not necessary.
