There’s just something about the end of the workday when you get to go to the place where you can unwind with people you like to spend time with, isn’t there? When I was making this painting, the theme song from Cheers played on repeat in my head–

”...Sometimes you want to go
where everybody knows your name
and they’re always glad you came
You want to be where you can see
Our troubles are all the same
You want to be where everybody knows your name…”

I made this painting with a home bar in mind. For those times when maybe you can’t get out to the local hangout, but you can at least get warm smile and a cold beer with the boys!
